Description
Draw lively flowers by communicating shape and volume through form with Alain Picard’s easy-to-follow drawing instruction. In this step-by-step video workshop, Alain shows you how to change 2D shapes into 3D objects, including a cube, sphere, cone, cuboid, and a cylinder. Then watch as he demonstrates how to take the 3D shapes a step further, transforming them into lifelike objects, such as a block, baseball, pear, book, and a coffee mug!
After enhancing your 2D and 3D form drawing skills, apply these principles to create fast floral studies of a lily, tulip, rose and a daisy from basic shapes. Finally, using a variety of techniques for hard and soft edges, blending, crosshatching, and more, bring it all together to complete a charming floral study of peonies in a glass jar.
With Alain’s simple drawing approach, you can create alluring flowers that blossom to life right before your eyes!
